Matthew has been serving at Yorba Linda Friends Church since 1992 and as senior pastor since 2007. He and wife Mardi have been married for 27 years and have three adult children: Nolan, Sophie, and Ella.
Since becoming superintendent of the Friends Southwest body of churches in 2017, Matthew feels called to bring vision and growth to the SW region of churches by raising up the next generation of leaders. It is his belief that this can be best carried out by equipping our future leaders with mentors, leadership development, opportunities to lead and by extending grace in the process of their growth.
