We are glad you have decided to learn about what God is doing in our Hispanic FSW churches. We have begun to build a team specifically for our Hispanic churches. Chirsty es nuestra Directora de Plantación de Iglesias Globales. Christy ha estado en el ministerio por más de 30 años. Plantó y dirigió una iglesia durante 11 años y ha servido en la plantación de varias iglesias en todo el mundo. Es autora, maestra y le encanta servir a las iglesias locales de diversas culturas. Christy tiene una pasión por construir iglesias saludables, abogar por la salud mental y pasar tiempo animando a los líderes.

Chirsty is our Director of Global Church Planting. Christy has been in the ministry for 30+ years. She planted and led a church for 11 years and has served in planting various churches around the world. She is an author, teacher, and loves serving local churches from various cultures. Christy has a passion for building healthy churches, advocating for mental health, and spending time encouraging leaders.

Evelyn Portillo es nuestra defensora de las relaciones y la salud. Queremos asegurarnos de que cada iglesia tenga la ayuda y los recursos necesarios para ser líderes saludables y desarrollar líderes saludables. El papel de Evelyn incluye conectarse con personas y aprender sobre algunas de las formas en que podemos servir mejor a nuestras iglesias existentes con los recursos adecuados.

Evelyn Portillo is our Relational/Health Advocate. We want to make sure each church has the needed help and resources to be healthy and develop healthy leaders. Evelyn's role includes connecting with people and learning about some of the ways we can best serve our existing churches with the right resources.

Alan Amavisca

Alan Amavisca ha servido en una variedad de funciones ministeriales durante los últimos 40 años. Estos roles incluyen plantador de iglesias misionero, mentor, pastor de misión, anciano de iglesia y director de misión. Le gusta compartir a Jesús a través de las culturas e invertir en líderes jóvenes y emergentes. Le encantan los libros, el surf, consentir a los nietos y, sobre todo, a su esposa Bárbara. "Me encanta hacer ministerio atravesando barreras, ya sean generacionales, económicas o culturales/lingüísticas; creo que Jesús nos ha dado un ministerio de reconciliación (2 Cor. 5:20)"

Alan Amavisca has served in a variety of ministry roles over the past 40 years. These roles include missionary church planter, mentor, mission pastor, church elder, and mission director. He enjoys sharing Jesus cross-culturally and investing in young, emerging leaders. He loves books, surfing, spoiling grandkids, and, above all, his wife Barbara. "I love doing ministry across barriers, whether generational, economic or cultural/linguistic; I believe that Jesus has given us a ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:20)"

Carlos Lopez

Pastor principal de Canyon Hills Friends Church. Carlos nació en Juárez, México y se crió tanto en Juárez como en El Paso, Texas. Él y su esposa Olivia han estado en Canyon Hills desde el año 2000 y tienen tres hijos: Carlos II, Ian y Alexis. Además de supervisar la visión y la misión de la iglesia, a Carlos le apasiona iniciar nuevas oportunidades para que las personas conozcan a Cristo incluyendo nuevas iglesias, alcances (evangelismo) y misiones.

Lead Pastor for Canyon Hills Friends Church Carlos was born in Juárez, Mexico and raised in both Juárez and El Paso, Texas. He and his wife Olivia have been at Canyon Hills since 2000 and have three children: Carlos II, Ian, and Alexis. Along with overseeing the vision and mission of the church, Carlos is passionate about starting new opportunities for people to get to know Christ including new church plants, outreaches and missions.
